So I don’t appear to be great at this whole keeping-up-with-the-blog thing. It’s mainly 365 project posts with a few bits and pieces throw in there. Sorry about that. But then again I’m not sorry that I’m posting things that I think are more worthwhile and interesting than a bunch of utter crap.
Day 86: Using the extendable lead was definitely a highlight of Lucy’s sleepover for her.
Day 87: If you can’t tell, this is a dog made from Jenga blocks.
Day 88: This pink glitter playdough just kept reminding me of organs. Also that’s dry pasta stuck in there.
Day 89: Teaching rounds make me want to cry. All my staff can’t work and I hate, hate, hate having fill ins.
Day 90: Selfies with weird faces on the couch before/after going to a friends birthday celebration.
Day 91: Finally got my butt into gear and started pinning and cutting the fabric to make pajama pants.
Day 92: The yummy scones I baked. I also made some homemade pesto and watched a lot of Gilmore Girls.kids
Day 43: This toast was on an escape mission. It launched out of the toaster of its own accord
Day 44: Spent some of the afternoon photographing polymer creations for my Etsy shop
Day 45: This photo has been seen a lot, but it was the only one I took on ‘the day I learnt Billy was a fatso’
Day 46: We picked up Lucy for a sleepover, but not before Matty chased her around the backyard
Day 47: Dog/Boyfriend sandwich
Day 48: After cooking this I have decided that I DO NOT like ham hock. Too much meat smell thanks
Day 49: I spent a good 15 minutes watching a group of cockatoos in our street
You can look at (and maybe buy) from my Etsy shop here.
Sometimes it’s the little things in life that make you smile.
Like having my parents dog over for a sleepover and having her climb under the doona halfway through the night.
Like finally having someone cut the bolt connecting the doors to the cupboard under the sink at work.
Like seeing shortie undies with a cute cat print.
Like having a giggle because the 1 litre bottles of Coke are all skinny and funny looking.
7am- getting ready for work
8am- getting everything together to take to work
9am- work work work
10am- morning tea, also a throwback to childhood with Tic Tocs
11am- a very weird baby from my textbook
12pm- ended up taking the keys instead of borrowing them a million times
2pm- picking up lunch for the bosses
3pm- so exciting, the local paper arrived
4pm- i’m so short that I had to fashion a footstool for under the desk
5pm- travelling to my parents house for a swim
6pm- hanging out with my parents and the dog
This was one of those crazy 40+ degree days so I didn’t really venture outside for most of the day. Also I stopped taking photos after 6pm because, well I forgot, and we were in the pool etc. so it was a little difficult. Excuses, excuses I know.
One of my goals for 2014 was to take more photos and to do the 365 project. I managed to take four days of photos before I forgot about it for three days, go me! So I’ve restarted from the 7th of January.
Day 1: The quilted pattern of my doona
Day 2: My parents dog was watching my Mum and I sew
Day 3: Watering the plants in the car park at work
Day 4: Eating vegetarian dumplings and reading
Day 5: Matty and I before the wedding reception
Day 6: Our cushions with pom poms (yay!) and the beautiful sunny day outside
Day 7: I made granola and boy was it delicious
Bonus pictures from the beginning of the year:
Giant granny square crochet
Homemade burger and curried potatoes with lentils
I made some rocky road for my Dad for his birthday
I’m 1/52 weeks through my goal, let’s hope that I can keep this up for the rest of the year. I’ve even set an alarm for each day so I can’t forget, but we’ll see how well that works.
